The scope of the project added Village Shops and a plaza area and demolition of the rear portion of some existing shops; reconfiguration of the parking lot for small shops and restaurant parcels and reconfiguration of the existing mall shops. The overhaul added over 200,000 sf of shops and restaurants plus a public plaza giving the center more of an urban feel.
The Valley Fair Mall project involved the redevelopment of an existing 700,316 sf mall to an approximately one million square feet of hybrid super-regional shopping and entertainment center. All construction was accomplished while the mall remained open for business.
