Project Briefing

A 7,871 sf addition and remodel of the existing 8,100 sf Syracuse, Utah Library. The addition included a 150 seat auditorium with acoustics and sound system, and a children’s library space. The new children’s library includes an exterior reading and story time area and special design elements that create community literacy and learning opportunities. Exterior improvements included upgrading the landscape of the retention basin area which will be used to retain water but will also act as an outdoor amphitheater.

Notable Information

R&O upgraded the restrooms, lighting, HVAC, flooring, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, walls, and overall layout. This new layout reorients the entry to the facility allowing for a north and south grand entrance, which can be monitored and controlled by Library staff.
