Design plans call for nearly 40,000 sq ft of tilt-up concrete, each panel measuring 46 ft tall and 12 in. thick. In preconstruction, our estimating team determined that the use of tilt-up concrete in this application is around 15-20% more cost-effective compared to a steel-framed building. Visual appeal is added through the incorporation of integral grayscale concrete coloring combined with a form-liner pattern to add depth and character to the concrete texture. Instead of sandwich-type construction, the panels are solid concrete insulated with a spray-on polyurethane foam.

The design choice sped up the casting process and enabled the space to be closed in before winter weather slowed progress, keeping construction on track to be completed in a short 10 months.
