Project Briefing

This multi-phase hospital renovation was completed in two phases. Phase I was construction of a new 31,300 sf medical and administrative office building with hospital registration, lobby, conference center, exam rooms and a fully functional temporary emergency room. For Phase II, R&O demolished and renovated 16,140 sf of the existing hospital. The newly renovated space includes an emergency room, pharmacy, radiology, nuclear medicine, cardiology, supply management, medical record storage, respiratory therapy, sterile storage, conference rooms and clinician offices.

Notable Information

The Humboldt project used Building Information Modeling for project efficiency and to execute seismic and structural upgrades. Built using current green building techniques, the project has a roof mounted photovoltaic system and a complete water based hydronic HVAC system. All construction took place on an open, operating medical campus with minimal disruption to services.
