Project Briefing

The 19,919 sf Gibson Library features a drive through window, a computer lab, a teen area, a children’s area, reading rooms and two large assembly rooms for library programming. Non-public areas include offices, a receiving bay, a circulation room, a rolling storage room, and a serving kitchen. AV equipment, data cabling are accessible via a raised access floor. A dedicated server room and IT storage areas help support the library’s goal to offer up-to-date technology to its patrons.

Notable Information

The building is a concrete tilt up with panelized roof structure and several all glass walls and a double height clerestory above the library stacks. R&O also constructed large concrete retaining walls and a loading dock for the receiving bay.
