Project Briefing

R&O recently completed construction on the new East Ridge Elementary for the Ogden School District. Many of the design elements of this elementary are unique and are not unlike that of junior high’s or high schools. The school also got to have some input on the design. One of the features are walls that the kids can draw on with dry erase markers, including the glass walls as well as other walls that have dry erase board on them. Construction took place next to an existing elementary school during the school year so special care and safety was observed around the students.

Notable Information

Each grade is sectioned into quads, that for security purposes can be locked down in separate areas. It has new features like central project areas surrounded by classrooms, called learning pods. The classrooms have a glass wall, so that teachers will be able to keep an eye on students working on projects in the central area.
